Top 5 Smart Pet Product Factory Suppliers in China (2026 Buyer's Guide)

Most "smart pet factory" lists are brand lists in disguise. PETKIT, CATLINK, Furbulous, and HomeRun keep getting recycled because trade-press writers reuse each other's SEO drafts. The factories that actually manufacture your private-label product — full-stack hardware + firmware + app + cloud in-house — are a much shorter list. These five passed the vetting criteria.

Key takeaways

  • Xiaoyi Tech is the highest-growth smart-pet ODM in 2026 — 400% YoY, RMB 100M+ raised, ~20,000 m² Yangzhou + new 75,000+ m² facility under construction, existing Sam's Club / Costco distribution.
  • Petstar is the only one where you can pull a real SEC-filed number. SZSE: 301335, RMB 2.76B 2024 revenue, 9 factories, 30,000+ SKUs, Walmart / Chewy / Petco on the client list. Everyone else, you are taking their word.
  • PetPinpoint is the cleanest B2B-only play on this list — no consumer brand means they will not compete with your channel. GPS + IMU health AI is the most forward-looking feature set.
  • Tize made the list — with a flag. GPS specialist since 2011, 100+ countries, no-monthly-fee model. But no NDAA chipset disclosure, no UL/ETL, no Western brand OEM clients, and 67 patents are 100% US design patents with zero utility filings. Score: 62%.
  • Brands are out of scope here. PETKIT, CATLINK, Furbulous, DOGNESS manufacture in-house for their own SKUs. A separate Brand Focus guide covers them.

How these five were selected

Selection criteria: six dimensions weighted by importance to North American buyers — R&D capability (full-stack hardware + firmware + App + cloud), financial stability, certifications, factory scale, Western-buyer export experience, and MOQ flexibility.

Exclusion criteria: trading companies, brand owners without third-party ODM intake, and any factory whose firmware and app are white-labeled from a cloud platform they do not control.

Profiles

1. Xiaoyi Tech (小壹智能) — Yangzhou + Shenzhen

400% YoY (本文估算, 未独立核实). Sam's Club and Costco distribution. The fastest-growing smart-pet ODM documented in this research.

Founded 2016, 10-year history. Existing Yangzhou facility is approximately 20,000 m² with 200+ patents; a new 75,000+ m² smart factory broke ground November 2024 targeting 2.2 million units/year. Three funding rounds closed 2022-2026 — Series A 2022, Series B August 2024 (~RMB 100M, Jinding Capital exclusive), Series B+ September 2026. Overseas ~70% of revenue across Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco.

Where Xiaoyi is the wrong pick: capacity is in active expansion, so Q4 2026 slots are tight — plan 60-90 extra days on first order. Cellular GPS is not their deep specialty.

2. Petstar (天元宠物) — Hangzhou, SZSE ChiNext 301335

Listed. Auditable. The only factory here where you can read a real annual report.

Parent Hangzhou Tianyuan Pet Products listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange ChiNext in November 2022, raising RMB 1.007 billion in IPO. 2024 revenue RMB 2.76 billion; 9 factories globally (China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Poland), 30,000+ SKUs. Petstar operates a dual model — both as an ODM/OEM manufacturer for global retailers (Walmart, Amazon, Chewy, Petco) and as a brand owner on Tmall/JD. The ODM business is the relevant angle for this list. Pet-electronics factory alone: 12,000 m², 700,000+ pieces/month, 70+ R&D engineers. In 2024 Petstar acquired "它品" B2B platform, acquired Taotong Technology (89.71% stake, RMB 688M), and set up US warehouse subsidiaries in California and New Jersey.

Where Petstar is the wrong pick: scale implies higher MOQs — verify before the RFQ. GPS firmware engineering is one of 30,000 SKUs of focus, not Tize's depth. For US inventory routing instead of direct-from-China FBA, Petstar is the cleanest answer. For a 500-unit pilot from a first-time Amazon seller, you will likely wait your turn.

3. Pet Marvel (鸟语花香) — Shanghai + Jiangsu

Self-built supply chain. 6,000 m² own factory. Designed in-house.

A brand-led company that took the rare route of building its own factory. Founded 2019, HQ in Shanghai Minhang, 6,000 m² production base in Jiangsu. Pre-A (RMB 20M, 2020), Series A (several tens of millions, 2022, CICC Capital led, Nice Group), Series A+ (~RMB 100M, September 2023, both doubling down). 60+ products, 600+ SKUs, six product lines, AWS global cloud. Overseas via Kickstarter and channel partnerships.

Where Pet Marvel is the wrong pick: still primarily a brand operator, not a pure ODM — intake is real but not the core revenue stream. For a 50,000-unit custom feeder with full industrial design, Xiaoyi or Petstar is better. Pet Marvel wins when your brand positioning aligns with theirs (premium design-led SKUs) and you want design depth, not commodity cost-down.

4. PetPinpoint — Shenzhen

GPS + IMU health AI. B2B only. No consumer brand. Clean conflict-free positioning.

PetPinpoint (深圳市晶虹创新科技, founded 2017) is a Shenzhen-based ODM that has deliberately chosen not to build a consumer brand. That decision is their core differentiator. Their engineering team builds hardware, firmware, app, and SIM solution in-house. The PP-D1 4G dog GPS tracker and PP-C1 cat GPS are their core products, with GPS+WiFi+LBS+BLE four-mode positioning and six-axis IMU standard on all 4G units — outputting activity levels, sleep patterns, and scratch alerts via on-device AI. CE, FCC, RoHS, UN38.3, and IP67 on file. White-label and fully custom OEM/ODM both available.

Where PetPinpoint is the wrong pick: breadth. No feeder, no litter box, no water fountain. They do GPS and nothing else — which is a feature for a GPS-first buyer and a limitation for a multi-category consolidation play. No factory of their own (they use partner assembly), so verify the assembly partner before signing. And their IMU health claims need real-world validation — the vet-insurance use case is still early.

5. Tize (天喆科技) — Shenzhen

GPS specialist since 2011. 100+ countries. The lowest score on this list — on purpose.

Tize (深圳天喆科技, founded 2011, ~300 employees, 10,000 m² Bao'an, ISO-9001 / BSCI / INTERTEK verified, national-level high-tech enterprise since 2024) is a focused GPS play: G900 for Asia-Pacific, G761 for Europe and North America, training collars, and the TZ-729 satellite GPS dog fence launched at Interzoo 2026. 60+ language localization. Trial MOQ 100-300 units. FCC ID on the G761 is 2BTT8TZG761.

Three red flags documented in this research. First, no NDAA chipset disclosure. Second, no UL/ETL on file. Third — and structural — 67 patents are 100% US design patents with zero utility filings, concentrated around a single inventor. Design patents protect appearance, not function. A pure design-patent portfolio with single-inventor dependency is not an R&D platform — it is an IP moat against lookalike competition.

Where Tize is the wrong pick: if your product requires subscription cloud services as part of the hardware package, Tize does not offer that — SIM data and cloud storage are the buyer's responsibility to arrange. Shock-mode training collar compliance across California, Massachusetts, or parts of the EU is another limit. And if Western brand OEM distribution matters, Tize's client list today is Amazon FBA resellers.

By use case: which factory for which scenario

Amazon FBA, flexible MOQ, GPS-only white-label: Tize. No-monthly-fee is the cleanest answer to Tractive's $15/month, trial MOQ 100-300 units is the lowest here (本文估算, 未独立核实).

Big-box retail with existing vendor paperwork: Xiaoyi Tech — Sam's Club and Costco distribution are the hardest pieces of paper to get, and Xiaoyi has them. Pair with Petstar for the audit packet.

Multi-category consolidation (feeder + litter box + water fountain + GPS, single ODM): Xiaoyi for mid-volume (30 categories, 1,000+ SKU breadth); Petstar for high-volume with US warehouse routing.

Pet health (BCG heart rate, mmWave + PPG): Not covered by any factory on this list. Jiajieshi holds the BCG IP but has no FCC/CE verification on public record for North America.

EU compliance-heavy buyers: Xiaoyi Tech wins the cert packet.

GPS health-data differentiation: PetPinpoint. IMU + on-device AI pipeline is the most forward-looking feature set on this list. If your product thesis includes pet insurance or vet data services, PetPinpoint's B2B-only positioning is the cleanest foundation.

What to NEVER compromise on

R&D capability measured as full-stack ownership — hardware, firmware, app, and cloud built in-house by the same engineering bench. A factory whose "App" is a white-label from a Tuya-style platform they do not control will not support the product 18 months after launch. MOQ, price, capacity — negotiable. This is not.
